Healthy Harold partners with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app to promote healthy choices

The University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app has partnered with Life Education Illawarra (Healthy Harold) to pilot a program at local primary schools that aims to encourage healthier life choices.

The Healthy Mind, Healthy Body pilot program consists of the delivery of the Healthy Harold Program by Life Education Illawarra, a one-hour workshop by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app about building a positive learner identity, and a healthy lunch with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app’s Baxter the Duck and Healthy Harold the giraffe.

The first program was presented to more than 150 primary school students today (Wednesday 31 May) at Warilla North Public School alongside Healthy Harold.

Following the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app and Life Education workshops, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app In2Uni mentors provided a healthy lunch to students to encourage them to make good long-lasting choices when it comes to their dietary options. Students shared their healthy lunch with Baxter and Healthy Harold.

The partnership between ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app’s In2Uni program and Life Education aims to improve student outcomes by making a positive generational change at a grassroots level.

Funding for the program was provided by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app’s Community Investment Steering Group.
