Appointment signals continued commitment to academic excellence and student success

The University of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app (ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app) is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Helen Partridge as its new Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education), following an extensive global search. Professor Partridge will commence in the role on 10 November 2025. 

Professor Partridge joins ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app from Deakin University, where she has been Pro Vice-Chancellor (Teaching and Learning). With an extensive track record in educational leadership, she is widely recognised for her expertise and commitment to inclusive, student-centred learning and her focus on innovation to improve student outcomes. 

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Vice-Chancellor and President Professor G.Q. Max Lu AO welcomed the appointment as a significant step forward in the University’s strategic direction. 

“Helen brings a deep belief in the transformative power of education and a clear passion for enhancing the student experience. Her leadership aligns perfectly with our ambition to deliver world-ready education that is innovative, inclusive and impactful,” Professor Lu said.

Professor Partridge will lead the University’s education portfolio, including education strategy and policy, student experience, digital learning and quality assurance. 

She will join the Executive team in guiding ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app’s mission to be a global leader in education, research and community engagement.
