Co-curricular activities

Co-curricular activities help you to expand on the skills and knowledge you develop through your academic coursework. These experiences are
vitally important for you to stand out as a graduate and allow you to develop personally and professionally in preparation for your life after university.

There are many activities on offer at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app. Each activity has met the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx Eligibility Framework, which guarantees that you will have the opportunity to receive training, develop key employability skills, and reflect on your learning.

Beyond ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app activities (external engagement)

At ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx we want to recognise not just your participation in ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app activities and workshops, but also your achievements outside of university. If you have engaged in volunteering in an external organisation, been a part of training or learning outside of ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app or attended workshops or seminars in your own time, you can apply for ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx recognition. External engagement recognition can be including in your application for Learning Stream Awards.

If you wish to volunteer for a charity organisation, we have also partnered with multiple organisations to provide students with the opportunity to help out in the community and get ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx recognised for your time.

Externally recognised activities

Workshops, Conferences & Seminars

Attending workshops, conferences and seminars are an excellent way to develop your knowledge, skills and networks. You can receive formal recognition of your learning by adding your active participation in a workshop, conference or seminar to your ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx record.

External Community Volunteering

Students at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app have the opportunity to receive recognition from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx for community volunteering activities they undertake outside of the university. For each external volunteer role a minimum of 20 hours must be completed in a calendar year to have it included on the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx record.
