How is this program run?
This program is running online only.
What will I do?
In this module students learn the importance of testing their ideas and making small, incremental changes along the way to develop a sustainable solution. They will be introduced to the Lean Startup methodology as a tool to guide them through this process.
This module has been developed by as part of its ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½app Entrepreneurs program and is funded by the NSW Government’s Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Skills (TIES) grant.
How will I benefit?
By the end of the module students will:
- Understand why idea testing is important;
- Recognise key components of the Lean Startup methodology and how these apply to the successful development of emerging ideas;
- Use the Value Proposition Tool to define and examine the customers/users that could benefit from their idea, how it brings value to them and the problem it solves;
- Explore the process of customer discovery and how this helps to further refine ideas;
- Understand why prototyping is an important part of idea testing and create their own prototypes;
- Identify the assumptions they are making about their idea, and solution, and learn how it's important to continually test them.

Minimum requirements for ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx recognition
To receive ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½appx Recognition, you must complete the following:
- An ‘engaged’ student will complete all aspects of the module and upload their reflection on the customer discovery exercise.
- A ‘highly engaged’ student will complete all aspects of the module and upload their reflection on the customer discovery exercise and their experience of developing a prototype.
